Deleting your account

You can delete your rpm account yourself, in the app. The account is deleted at once and your cloud library within two hours. This cannot be undone.

In the app

  • On a Mac or PC: open Settings, then Profile, and choose Delete account under Sign out.
  • On an iPhone: open the Profile tab and choose Delete account under Sign out.
  • Type your account's email address to confirm. The dialog shows the address. If what you type does not match, nothing is deleted.

What is deleted

  • At once: your sign-in, including a linked Apple or Google sign-in, your account details (email address, display name, join date) and your Discogs connection. Nobody can sign in to the account again.
  • Within two hours: your cloud library (the audio no other account holds, its tags, covers and playlist pictures), your playlists and the lists rpm made for you, play counts, radio listening, favourites, registered computers, shares in both directions, your votes on reviews (the counts on the reviews stay), your profile, display name and picture, and your fanart.tv key.

Music that is only in the cloud is gone with it, so download anything you want to keep first. On a computer, the dialog says how many of your tracks are only in the cloud. The files on your own computers are not touched. Anyone you shared your library with loses access to it.

What stays

  • Your reviews, ratings, comments and posts stay, shown as "Deleted user" without your name or picture. To remove them, delete them in the app before you delete the account.
  • Reports you made about a post, analysis results you contributed, and error and crash reports keep your account ID, which then no longer leads to your email address, name or sign-in. Error and crash reports are deleted after one year, and server logs after 90 days.
  • Entries you added to the shared catalogue stay. They never recorded who sent them.

If you cannot reach the app

Write to support@rpmrpmrpm.com from the address the account uses and ask for it to be deleted. We confirm with you before anything is removed, and delete it within one month.
